HUBUNGAN ANTARA MOTIVASI INTRINSIK DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI D-III KEBIDANAN DI STIKES ALMA ATA YOGYAKARTA

Abstract


Latar Belakang :Terbentuknya bidan yang professional tidak terlepas dari motivasi para mahasiswa bidan dalam belajar. Karena itu, motivasi belajar perlu diusahakan, terutama yang berasal dari dalam diri (motivasi intrinsik). Diperoleh hasil wawancara pada 9 mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa 5 mahasiswa mengatakan kurang mempunyai motivasi dalam belajar karena mereka kuliah di kebidanan karena paksaan dari orang tua dan keluarga bukan keinginan sendiri, tetapi mempunyai nilai IPS  2,75 sedangkan 4 mahasiswa mengatakan mempunyai motivasi dalam belajar  akan tetapi  nilai IPS yang mereka dapatkan  2,75 hal tersebut disebabkan karena tempat mereka tinggal tidak mendukung dalam kegiatan belajar.

Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi intrinsik dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa Program Studi D-III Kebidanan Stikes Alma Ata Yogyakarta.

Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini adalah survai analitik dengan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan dari mahasiswa Program Studi D-III Kebidanan semester III di Stikes Alma Ata Yogyakarta.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportional random sampling, dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 125 orang.Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan kartu hasil studi (KHS).Analisis data menggunakan analisis Spearman Rank.

Hasil Penelitian : Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan motivasi intrinsik mahasiswa Prodi D-III Kebidanan termasuk dalam katagori sedang (68,5%). Hasil belajar mahasiswa Prodi D-III Kebidanan sebagian besar dalam katagori baik (52,6%). Hasil analisa Spearman Rank diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.003 lebih kecil dari 0,05 (p<0.5) dengan keeratan hubungan dalam katagori rendah ( =0,301)

Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan antara motivasi intrinsik dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa Prodi D-III Kebidanan Stikes Alma Ata Yogyakarta.

Background :Motivation in learning is a tool to achieve professionalism in midwifery. Therefore, motivation in learning is necessary, especially personal motivation (intrinsic motivation). Result of interview with 9 students provided information that 5 of 9 students were less motivated to learn because they were imposed to study at midwifery due to their parents and family, their GPA was 2.75 while 4 other students said that they have motivation in learning but their GPA was 2.75 either due to their home which is not support for their studies.

Objective : The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation between intrinsic motivation and learning outcomes at students of Midwifery Diploma-III, Alma Ata School of Health Science in Yogyakarta.

Methods :The analytic survey with cross sectional approach underpinned this research. The population of this research was all third semester students of Midwifery Diploma-III at Alma Ata School of Health Science Yogyakarta. The technique of sampling was proportional random sampling. A total of sample was 125 students. Questionnaires and study report card (KHS) were used for collecting data. The data was analyzed by using Spearman Rank analysis.

Results :The result of study showed that students’ intrinsic motivation was at medium category (68.5%). Most of Midwifery Diploma-III students’ learning outcome was at good category (52.6%). The result of Spearman Rank analysis had significance value = 0.003 which is smaller than 0.05 (p <0.5) with correlation closeness at low category (rho = 0.301)

Conclusion :There is correlation between intrinsic motivation and students' learning outcomes at Midwifery Diploma-III Program Alma Ata School of Health Science Yogyakarta.
