EFEKTIVITAS SCAPULAR STABILIZATION EXERCISE PADA KONDISI FORWARD HEAD POSTURE AKIBAT MUSCLE IMBALANCE

Abstract

Latar belakang: Kondisi Forward Head Posture (FHD) merupakan kondisi dan problematika musculoskeletal yang sering ditemukan pada masyarakat umum dengan posisi kepala berada jauh dari garis tubuh. Posisi yang tidak ergonomis pada leher akan menimbulkan upper cross syndrome, shortening pada serabut otot dan overstretching pada otot-otot disekitar leher. Kondisi tersebut dapat menimbulkan pergeseran pada Line of Gravity (LoG) sehingga dalam jangka waktu lama jika tidak diberikan penanganan yang tepat akan menimbulkan gangguan keseimbangan statis bahkan dinamis. FHP merupakan penyebab utama nyeri leher, nyeri kepala hingga kecacatan secara global. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lama nya waktu pengaruh efektivitas latihan scapular stabilization dapat bertahan pada kondisi Forward Head Posture (FHP) akibat muscle imbalance. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimental dengan pre dan post-test design. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang sebanyak 30 responden berpartisipasi pada penelitian ini. Namun, terdapat 2 responden yang drop out karena tidak mengikuti pemeriksaan pada follow up ke-2. Seluruh responden di ukur sekala nyeri dengan Numeric Rating Scale, derajad FHP dengan Cervical Vertebra Angle (CVA) dan kualitas aktifitas sehari-hari dengan Neck Disability Index (NDI) questionnaire. One-way repeated ANOVA digunakan untuk analisis evaluasi pre-test, follow up 1 (minggu ke 2) dan 2 (minggu ke 4) setelah intervensi perlakuan. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada derajad CVA, nilai nyeri dan nilai NDI (p<.05). Namun, nilai nyeri tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada follow up 1 dan 2 (p>.05). Kesimpulan: Latihan scapula stabilisasi dapat berpengaruh terhadap derajad CVA dan nilai NDI hingga follow up ke 2 (6 minggu) setelah intervensi. Namun tidak untuk skala nyeri.
